Well, this will have to be my wife's EDC in the car.
We took our 3 year old granddaughter to a local small zoo on Good Friday this year.
The admission wrist bands were like held on with glue that could keep the universe stuck in the heavens.
Sitting in the car before we set off my granddaughter was getting rather upset she couldn't get the band off, gods know I could not either and I'm a much bigger kid than her.
Thankfully my wife has an Anglo-Arms outdoors pursuits bushcraft knife in her EDC in the car.
A very careful granddad and a very still granddaugther and all was resolved in short order.
I'd like to add that my granddaughter has been around blades from day one of her life and is not frightened by them as she knows they are first and foremost tools. She also knows not to touch any of our knives should she find one !

Use mine daily, headache pills, needle and thread (I have another 3 buttons to sew on my rain hat that buttons on the back of my jacket), tissues, hand sanitiser, phone charger and lip balm.
Behind every great man is an even greater woman. She carried you, raised you and made you who you are.

I think historically that's why I preferred SAK's to the various multi tools, SAK's have a corkscrew. I opened a bottle in the house with a corkscrew the other day, the first time in God knows how long, screw tops are so much easier (and socially acceptable now toohobo wrote:Opened a bottle of wine with my SAK in my music lesson this morning. hic.

They're still in use here in the theatre industry for running lighting, pretty sure those are the ones they use in South Africa, so if you go again you can get the bits easy enough to knock up an adaptor before you go.
Yes, that's right. Gurt big thing. Cheers.
