Hello and welcome. If you could perhaps give us an idea why you have joined us, that would be good. Many here have different reasons for being prepared, what are yours?

Hi Jansman

I have a keen interest in recreational Bush craft and living of the land, I get great enjoyment from hunting and harvesting natural resources and I am now teaching this to my kids, My interest in prepping is more knowledge based as I'm a sucker for information gathering, I like to know what risks that might happen and the likely "knock-on effects" that may follow. I have always had a stored supply of food ever since the fuel blockades about 10 years ago, I suppose that was the first time I realised that a relatively minor occurrence could easily escalate into a far worse scenario.

I am now more concerned about a prolonged bad weather scenario or a general breakdown of the utility grids, I'm a firm believer that If the UK didn't have power for 3 days it could take 21 days to resupply the daily food supply chain (As long as everyone stayed civil and the situation didn't escalate further  ).

Hope to meet a few of you at some stage.

Eat well stay safe
