New Member - South East - background & Interests

Post by SpaceRanger »

Good Afternoon Everyone,

New member here - been active all of 12 mins now - sweet.

I was initially keen on EDC and this kinda lead me to Prepping. I have watched hundreds of online vids on EDC, different carry options what works etc. I keep changing my current set up as I keep seeing new things I like.

I have a brief background in Enforcement so had a good understanding of the Legalities on Knives and Carry options - I currently switch out my EDC Knife between my Boker Plus XS and my CRKT Liong Mah #5.
I am looking to Purchase a Klecker Cordovan - should anyone have any views on this id much appreciate it.
Strapped to my EDC Work Bag I also have a Leatherman Wave - basic, but handy. Looking to upgrade this to maybe one of their TI Options later in the year.

Big Maxpedition fan as well - I know its not UK, but having owned several items, I cant fault the build quality and construction and the ease in which everything ties together.

Family man - wife and kid - I'm slowly - like real slow - getting around to sorting the shed and loft space - Id like somewhere I can start to build some reserves so that they wont spoil in heat - get eaten by bugs. This is a long term plan and nothing will be done this year.

Big fan of small EDC gadget things - also like and prefer Tactical All Black Look over Camo - just me.
I enjoy researching on the things I want to buy - not that I can afford everything just yet - but its good to know whats out there.

My knowledge is what I like to call, Lightly Broad rather than intensely specific. Meaning, I have a good knowledge on a lot of areas, topics etc - but I havn't yet focused enough time on one thing to know it like a Pro.

Wanted to join a forum like this so I can meet and discuss with like minded people, and swap and share thoughts and ideas.

Thats kinda it for now I guess - ill get involved more over the next few weeks.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum, also a massive EDC fan. My knife carry is a custom non locking Opinel Beech and Victorinox recruit. Also a Maxpedition fan, prefer Bulldog though. Enjoy the forum!

Welcome to the forums. I share your preference for all tactical black when it comes to packs, pouches etc. Never been a camo fan!
