Hi to all,
I'm a young bloke but I've been prepping since my early teens.
I have a plan for pretty much any and all situation.
I have a primal view of most situations but I can see most possiblities
I have a background in electrical and mechanical engineering - as well as first hand survival experience.
Ives lived in a commune as well as in the city.
I'll be posting my kits as and when I get photos but I would appreciate advice. But please justify your criticisms remember my kits are tested and I've got a lot of experience.
If any of you want advice on evasion techniques or psychological factors/ security measures. Feel free to ask.

Thanks for the intro and welcome!

Re: SW serial Prepper
Welcome and tell us more, the commune interests me a lot, I've always been a bit of a Sceptic about them, probably more in normal times because the temptation to walk away rather than make it work where personalities clash is too great, but in difficult times where folk are forced by circumstance rather than choice, could they possibly save us from ourselves?
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

To be honest the commune was an interesting experience but there was a lot of people who didn't pull their weight and the "beginner" (the guy who started the commune) was too weak willed to assign tasks and jobs based on skill set. I was a builder/ handyman to start with just putting up different tents and shelters using what we had but then the next week I was out farming - well digging up re plants.
The commune was a very fair weather affair for most because when the cold weather struck half our commune went "home to mum and dad" I was the fortunate one to not have parents to rely on and so I stuck it out for a further 6momths and became a second to the beginner and so I taught the skills I had learnt to new members and assigned jobs and by the time I left I felt it was working well but the local government were interfering a bit too much so I needed I go before it became too much.
I can't let you know more if your interested plymtom just pm me

Thanks for the response, my interest is simply trying to work out if anything like that ever does go the distance, you stuck it out a fair while by the sounds of it, pulling one's weight one way or another is crucial, but it's a minefield of personality problems I'd see as the main cause of breakdown, bad leadership stuff where the most eager to lead ( or most aggressive ) causes endless issues, as we are forced to localize ourselves in the coming years should the energy gap never get filled small communities are crucial and I'm interested in how that could happen and perhaps playing a useful part in it if it does.Prep4War wrote:To be honest the commune was an interesting experience but there was a lot of people who didn't pull their weight and the "beginner" (the guy who started the commune) was too weak willed to assign tasks and jobs based on skill set. I think they have the possibility to thrive however I think there has to be more structure as a whole.
The most important is it can't happen naturally I think you have to force the creation then after that naturally people will find a role but to start with people need structure.
18months roughly I was there but your right personalities cause the main problems as well as the "hippy mentality" of peace and love - WRONG it's all about survival then living - I don't think peace and love come in to it except that we should treat others with respect
