I thought that since I am in the mood. I would do a little post that might be of interest.

So here I am, a bit pissed off at the world. Long story there.

So you want to do the ultimate prepper thing. Here in the UK there are knot many options. In the US there are a few more options.

By the way if you know of anyone that wants 58 acres of land in upstate new York near the Canadian border , send them my way. Asking price is around £33,000 .

Buy a roof over your head in full cheap. I am partial to a not myself. £38,000 or so will get you a humber barge.

The thing is. You absolutely have to be able to have 3 to 5 years of provisioning capability to be insured for any eventuality. It can be done. Yet you and yours will have to sink everything you have into the proposition. No holding back, pure full on dedication.

I know what we are intending to do. Yet our solution may not fit your needs.

Store food, get heirloom seeds, get night volume water filters and for good sake. Learn. To learn you need experience. Practice and then practice some more. It is easy for me to say I can handle things. I have 20 years of living out of a Bergen in all parts of the world under my belt. So been there and done that.

Gert your own experience. Rough it as much as possible.

Remember , you train under the harshest conditions so that you are ready for anything.

Lord, land is cheap in the US. If it was as cheap as that over here, I'd snap it up and build my shelter ! My husband comes home from his trips to the US with tales of his colleagues' mega land holdings, ride-on tractor lawnmowers and huge houses. Now I know they get it all for the price of a one bedroomed semi-detached over here !

£33,000? blimey you cant even buy a flat for that down south, might get you about 3 acres if your lucky.

Here in the uk there's not many options ? North York moors , highlands of Scotland . There my two options . You can buy land up here for around £5k and acre still , but in Scotland you can camp about anywhere so why buy ?

The bug outs I prep for would mean high in the highlands no one would know I was even there one spot is 50 miles from anywhere , I get your point for many but in my scenarios I'm not sure there would be anyone to pay .
