Featherstick, ibuprofen is nurofen - nurofen is just a brand company that charges ten times more for the same stuff as everyone else. I'm on it.
ForgeCorvus, I don't have a utensil to drink tea from, nor a method of making hot water. But this EDC is mostly designed for my own personal needs and the main thing I've prepared for is an extended stay somewhere like a bus station or at work. They usually have cups and water, but sometimes no tea. I like tea. But I'll take you up on the extra smaller change, salt and I think I'll get a small packet of wet wipes.
A sewing kit is usefull for prolonged periods away, and I have one in my family bags and my own personal GOOD bag. But I don't really see the need to carry one all the time.
Devonian, you're right that it's a lot of stuff. But I've found myself in situations where I could have done, or just very much needed this stuff. Especially when the night shift staff have not shown up in work, or when I got snowed in at my aunties house one time. Or when my motorcycle broke down in the Peak district. The solar charger is a luxury amongst a couple of other things, but I justify this lot of stuff by the size of it. It's really small and light, and I fit it inside my backpack or whatever bag I take out with me.
CynicalSurvival, I have mini scissors on the SOG Paratool that I will be getting on my next trip to the US but I'll still be keeping my nail clippers. They're much quicker and help me not to make a mess of my fingers. I've had a few ouchy situations in the past that I'd like to avoid in future.
