Just got back from home bargains with 24 bottles strawberry water, 24 bottles fizzy summer fruits water, 48 cans Pepsi, 30 packs chicken noodles,30 packs stir fry noodles, 36 choc chip cereal bars, 24 twix bars, 12 beef & tomato pot noodles. All stashed away and just need to log in my excel sheet. :P

Will hopefully go out and get more water and food stuffs tomorrow.

Getting a tad nervous with all this current world unrest I must say. :(

Just had a look at the Home bargains website and wow what a place...
Thanks for the heads up.

Seems really good value. :D
Having food, water and shelter are not a right.
They are a responsibility.

So make it your priority.

Very welcome! I'm new to them myself and am amazed at their prices, I've gone in and filled a trolley with good stuff and then an online order which I collected rather than get delivered. They don't show all the food they have online and very well worth a visit.

The nearest one for me is over 60 miles away :( ah well ... I was pleased enough when a 99p stores opened locally :)

My preps ... endless tidying and working out how to store things, as well as using vouchers from Sainsbo - £10 off and free delivery :) plus I ordered a Baofeng radio yesterday. There are a couple more big things I'd like to get (almost £150  )

Lots more planting and landscaping work in the grounds Chez Arzosah, then its on to the practicalities of upping my income, which is starting to veer perilously towards tax free, its so low :( A lottery win would do nicely, except for the minor fact that I don't play it :D

That's a shame as I think they are very handy for preps. Might be worth trying to order some stuffs online? We have one pound land store which isn't great unless you want girlie paper plates or kids stuff. I need to make more effort to find the good stores that are further into London.

I've been developing skills the last few months. Learning metal fabrication , welding (mig/tig), lathe work, laser cutters, plotting/cutting machine, plasma cutters, CNC machines. This week I'm working on perfecting home made PCB's and learning 3D printing in depth.

Been checking supplies and realised I'd not added much of late and with the current news being all doom and gloom, mind you that's not unusual, thought I'd better add some , so got 12kg sugar, 12 tins beans, 2 kidney beans, 12 peas, 6 sweetcorn, 2 pineapple, 2 fruit salad, 4 pkts curry rice, 4 noodles, 4kg porridge oats, 2 jars coffee, 4 tins tuna, kg soda crystals, bt laundry liquid, bottle conditioner, 2 deodrants, 2 bars soap,10ltrs water, 3ltrs squash, spray antiseptic, 4ltrs sunflower oil, 2 boxes cuppa soup, 2ltrs longlife fruit juice, 12 double length t.rolls.

Feeling much better now, Am now waiting for the temp outside to drop a little and will go pick some rasps and blackcurrants and make some jam, not using the sugar above as I had already bought extra for the cupboard, to make the jam, so the jam will go in preps as well (if it turns out ok)

Just the usual, when i go shopping i try and add a few extra bits to squirrel away for when it is needed, a few here have mentioned the unrest in the world and how worrying it is, i have to agree, things are not looking good, time to make sure we have plenty stored away.

I've been looking into doing this myself, how have you been learning via books or courses?

I've been hunting mice. The little sh*t machines have tunneled through the insulation in my container and have been hosting their own little sex and food orgies in the wall cavities. They are so fat, dumb and sexed-up they ignore the traps I've put down so it's time I got nasty and stopped their partying for good with some epoxy expanding filler, some metal trim and and a 2lb club hammer.
