Collected a bag full of elderberries from a local park. Made a few jars of cordial ready for winter. 2lb sugar cost 59p and I already had the jars! 🙂

Bottled up some more tomatoes and saved some seeds from our runner beans and peas. Greased the hens legs.

My grandad was born in early 1890s and lived through the 1918 Spanish Flu. He kept a cutting from a newspaper in his "man box" about cinnamon warding off the flu. Apparently, people noticed that cinnamon factory workers in London never got the flu, even when members of their families had the disease...

Been picking berries and making jams and cordials.
Pigeons made a mess of my wheat patch and I've had to harvest it early. Looks like my plan to "grow a loaf" will now be "grow a little bun" instead!
