The IRA had several cache dug up over the years by the police when some one reported it or found it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2966075/Teenage-metal-detector-trawling-river-stumbles-hidden-cache-40-IRA-weapons-including-Widow-Maker-rifle-Nazi-machine-gun.html This was not proven to be...

"Self Defence" Keychains

With a lot of items that are not specified in law it would come down to the CPS being willing to prove your intent. Self Defence Pens are a case in fact. They are part Kubotan (illegal) part stabby weapon (illegal) but really officer its just a pen. Main problem is they are marketed as a self defenc...

Livestock raised to slaughter anyone with experience?

We have Sheep, chickens etc.

Treat them well, don't use a heap of drugs, don't think of them as pets.

Lots of satisfaction in giving them a good life and then having them in the freezer.

Yum!

Car Carry

I think you have to think about the purpose of your in car kit. I started making up survival kits nearly over 30 years ago and in the last 20 started creating them for specific purposes to suit whatever escapade I was involved in. Latterly the GHB has been a fascinating project. I regularly work 100...

"best" 4x4 off and on road

I had a Suzuki Vitara dating back to the 90's. If you don't need a load lugger this would be an excellent choice. Uses way less fuel than most other 4x4's and is really just a capable off road. Probably never make 30 years old though. I replaced this with a Jimny which was equally good. Again I doub...

"best" 4x4 off and on road

I have owned a series Land Rover and a 110. Both would be considered end of life I guess. It's these that folks pick up as toys, the problems are rarely mechanical. Rust kills Land Rovers. Once you start patching you are into an annual cycle for every MOT. First the rear cross member and the out rig...

Fallkniven F1 - my new knife photos

Its made from a high end stainless called VG10. It's very good, easy to sharpen and holds an edge but tends to mark somewhat. Not a problem on a working blade. I have one of these in my Bimble bag and recently disposed of an S1 Forest knife as I had something that did its job custom made from anothe...

Keyring EDC

Spiked Kubotan are now a specified offensive weapon. Standard Kubotan are also an offensive weapon and there is now case law to back this. No difference here between a 6" Kubotan and a 12" knife! Anything carried that is designed or marketed as a weapon is likely to get you into hot water....
