I've been frequenting various EDC forums (predominantly US orientated) for a while now. What started as a casual search for a decent flashlight to keep in my work bag has gradually evolved into a more serious, multi-tiered approach to EDC. I found this forum whilst looking for info on setting up Get Home Bags for myself and my partner that are more suited to the approaching winter conditions. It's refreshing to see info and advice that is more relevant to the UK.
In approximately 6 months time, after I've retired from my current job, it's our intention to move closer to my partner's workplace in Oxfordshire. Ideally we'd like to live somewhere more rural so I will be hoping to pick up lots of useful info on prepping, that we can put into action when we, hopefully, have a bit more storage space. For now, my prepping will continue to focus on more compact, bag-based systems that don't take up too much room
