Mk6 Ballistic Helmet
I've recently purchased the MK6 ballistic helmet, these are the previous model to the one currently being used by UK armed forces and mine has a manufacture date of 2009. It's made of several layers of moulded ballistic nylon (similar to Kevlar) I paid £28 on eBay including postage and it came with a dessert cammo cover (although I've removed mine so it's just black) It is a solid helmet, not too heavy it both looks and feels the part and for £28 I wreckon its a prepping must, after all what use is all that canned food if somebody hits you over the head on day 1 of SHTF. Plus it's got the obvious advantage of being able to protect against a variety of firearms which is definitely welcome. I wreckon I'll be getting a few more at some point in the future in different sizes for the Girlfriend and other family members.
Prepare- Because dieing is for amateurs.

Bear in mind that just like Motorcycle helmets, if dropped, they'll need replacing.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Dont think the drop it replace it counts for ballistic helmets as its not a shell with polystyrene glued to it. Also its good for stopping bullets not much else. If someone smacks you over the head with a 2x4 you will still be knocked out
