My Intro.

Post by happyhacker »

Well, having had 5 recent posts disapproved (I don't know if they will be auto approved if this post passes scrutiny but will not be redoing them) and wondering why. I see that each email mentions I have not introduced myself (I assume that's the reason because I have searched for any posts of mine and came up blank). Anyway must stop rabbiting on in case my intro is disapproved!.

I am retired and pay more or less lip service so far to survival and all that. But now want to be more serious. Total novice, have a bit of storage under floor and in Garage and live in a small village in Dorset. I want to cater for about 6 months of food survival but don't see allowing for the apocalypse being feasible (but wait to be convinced). Want to build knowledge from here.

Hello and welcome to the Forum. :)

Yep, as stated here:

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2137

You have to make an intro post to begin with and your first 10 posts will be moderated. This is to ensure you are not a Spammer or Troll. :)

Start slowly on shelf stable foods and water.

Remember the adage "Store what you eat, eat what you store".

That way mung beans in anchovy sauce wont be the last tins on your shelves
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm good with a spanner but not a spammer. I'm good with a trowel but not a troll (what's one of those anyway?)! Looking forward to learning more about this subject.
