I believe the first was Syrian refugees, and the second was people fleeing violence in one or two places in Latin America, walking through Mexico to try to get asylum in the USA. Trump sent 80 soldiers to stop them.

Sailing close to the wind regarding Politics, be careful.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Roads and refugees or evacuees i close proximity to a road. In the first shot it's a bit to narrow to be sure why they have stepped off the tarmac but as we can see a lorry on the road it's possible they have moved because of other vehicles. Without full context it's a guess at best. Second photo makes a lot of sense. Large numbers walking on a hard surface. Can you imagine that lot trapsing across a muddy field? Not ruling out cross country travel , just saying take the quickest easiest route first.

How is stating facts 'political'? I didn't offer any opinion. I only know it because it said it in the text that was with the photo.

Actually following a crow as it flies is more accurate.
