Now i always wondered why my sister use to keep her celery in a pint mug in the fridge until i grew i never knew lol , now when my spring onions go dried out and rubbery i use to throw them and go grab another bunch out the raised bed , well the other week i was watching a preppers shop and the lady said if you get spring onions and showed rubber ones she pops them in a jar with a little water in but clen off any rubbish but not the root end just the top end then pop in a jar with in a week mine had grown roots and new shoots out hte top and the papery outside i peeled off new nice fresjh onions in inside to use but wow i was so happy .
