We had a burst main outside on Saturday. We lost water for about three hours, and it was a bit brown for a few hours when restored. We carry 4x 25 litre water barrels for emergencies. Half of one came in handy. We have a syphon too , to make water easy to access.

To be honest, we were more concerned that we might get flooded when the main burst- it was a lot of water! :( Thankfully, we have a HOB ( HOtel Bag) that we can utilise if we need to evacuate. Dog friendly hotels only!

You will come across the Bugout Bag, but don’t worry, it’s not mandatory. ;)

Thanks for all the great advice.

I have now started to buy alittle extra tinned foods and pasta etc when I go shopping. I am going to keep it separate from our normal food and rotate it when we use our normal stuff.
