Honey, Syrup or Treacle biscuits

This will make either 30 big ones or 60 small ones a good family size lot.


12 oz plain flour
6 oz sugar
2 teaspoons bicarb of soda
8 oz butter or marg - not low fat spread
2 large tablespoons Honey syrup or treacle -only one not all three
2 tablespoons milk or made up marvel
optional 4 oz mixed fruit



warm honey and milk and cool
add bicarb of soda and beat until frothy
cream butter and sugar
add frothy milk and sieve flour
roll into balls of the same size or half small and half big
Tap down with a fork lightly
greased baking sheets
gas mark 4 about 12 minutes until golden
leave to cool and they will go crisp

store in aitight container

(and if the dragon in law likes it it must be VERY good!)

It is a good storage one quick and easy
