I'm just revamping the car kit. This is just to stay in the car, I have a bag for getting home if the car's not available or stuck.
So far I have my first aid kit, a general emergency car kit which contains a folding spade, emergency blanket, tow rope etc. ready diluted screen wash and a squeegee/scraper. But now I've run out of ideas.
All help gratefully received.

Re: Car kit
Not being funny, but how does any of that help you get home if the car is not available or stuck?
Where are your warm and waterproof clothes, walking boots, food, water, maps etc....

Re: Car kit
In my get home bag. But I'd rather be able to get out of trouble and keep the car going if I can.

Re: Car kit
like sand mats but used in mud or wet grass or any were you loose traction . jam under the wheels and drive onto them and all being well keep going till you hit hard ground . i tie 20 foot of rope to mine and then too the tow bar , saves a long walk after .cumbrianish wrote:Waffle boards?
also worth a mention is they can be used as bridging ladders if you have two sets .one pair as a bridge and the other as supports .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .

Re: Car kit
Brilliant idea thanks I've got a pair but I only normally keep them in the car for winter didn't think about getting stuck in mud
I will put them in the boot once I've tied some paracord to them.

Re: Car kit
i used the blue BT type of rope , theres some weight in them when you get them full off mud and bouncing around . thats also the best way to get then cleanish .cumbrianish wrote:Brilliant idea thanks I've got a pair but I only normally keep them in the car for winter didn't think about getting stuck in mud
