Hello from London

Post by Wolfgang Peanut »

Hi All,

Have been a background observer of the forums for a while so thought I'd finally get registered and say hello. so... hello!

I'm a 27 year old from a camping/hiking background. Being from London and without a car, I'd spend a lot of time ogling bags and gadgets on the internet in anticipation of the rare weekend away. Needless to say this brought me on to EDC and I've got an embarrassingly large collection of kit that doesn't get used anywhere near enough!

For a long time I was under the impression that prepping was the reserve of nuclear doomsdayers and zombie hunters, but after chatting to an Argentinian a few years ago and hearing her experience of the economic collapse in 2001, I realised how quickly S could HTF.

I haven't gone all out off the grid yet but I'm slowly working on my wilderness survival skills when I go camping and everyday urban preparedness (real word?). To that end, I discovered Lidl recently and my tins cupboard is no longer wall mounted
