So i got a bottle of sublingual B12 on amazon and tried it last summer, and didn't get nearly as much trouble wi the wee sods. Might go on to take B-complex as well, see how that works.
Good to know! Now that I've had time to check, the pharmacist wrote down Vit B Complex, but at H&B the girl immediately went for Vit B1 - she takes it herself for midges and swears it does work (you have to remember she's selling the stuff, though - cynical, me? - never

!) Probably Vit B Complex just covers the lot. Was told by pharmacist that if you feel tingling/numbness to stop taking them - you'll have a bit too much in your system. I think my daughter and I will take them every day for a week or so and then maybe every other day and see how we go. I am, for the first time, hopeful I won't spend the whole summer fighting midges every time I dig in the garden. There's a particular time of year when the female midges seem to swarm and are really vicious and the only thing you can do is get away from them. Apparently, they need extra blood to produce their young.
