Ah yes, the stamping idiots, helpfully destroying wildlife for no good reason.

The irony really is that my maternal grandmother grew mushrooms. I can only just remember it as I was very young at the time but she lived in an old house and the mushrooms were grown in a cupboard in the kitchen. Next to the range ( coal fired aga type of thing) and damp in there probably made for good growing conditions. My father grew up on the family farm and despite not liking them as a food I grew up to not understanding his attitude towards them , well and my mother's for that matter.
