Well the Aloe vera juice turned up this morning, and Su..."Yuck" doesn't even begin to describe how bad it tastes :D

Looking at the dosage though, 1 litre is good for 40 days so the cost doesn't work out quite as bad as it looks (about 30p / day), and if it works ...happy days

I think I will try it mixed with Ribena tomorrow though :D

IrnBru...Lovely stuff :D

Well following yet another bout of it yesterday and today I have decided to pack in all red meat for a while. I had a tiny bit of steak yesterday (against MrsCC's advice) and that set it off again.

Will stock up on fish and poultry, I dont seem to ever have it following fish and only rarely following chicken etc depending on how its cooked

On an unrelated topic, has anyone tried a fish called "Basa" ? or "River Cobbler" as it's sometimes called in the UK, I have only found it recently and it is absolutely gorgeous. I can take or leave most fish but this stuff grilled is lovely

Friend who's got IBS says leave out all meat for 21 days if you possibly can, that gives your system time to settle. Then try wee bits at a time. She says it might not be IBS might just be tummy rebellion
Also says it might just head off the full blown IBS.

CC , I was listening to Jack Spirko podcast the other day ( a recent show if you want to look it up and listen ) and his guest was a Paleo diet PHD Doctor who seems to think many of our western IBS related issues are to do with large quantities of refined carbs and how the human gut is just not evolved to deal with the quantity and the various insulin spikes.

Anyway , I thought of you..

Maybe worth looking up from his website and having a listen??? The diet is pretty much based around Rob Wollf Paleo stuff.

I take Aloe Vera every day, just an egg cup amount before breakfast. For more information, take a look at www.foreverliving.com - it may be more than H&B but it is better quality. Do not buy something that is second best then damn the whole range.

Taste wise - that is the least of your problems, chuck it down your throat and miss your tongue if you don't like the taste.

To all you peeps with 'IBS' or possibly 'Crohns' and other mystery ailments, may I suggest you check your intakes for aspartame.
The artificial sweetener aspartame is just a very nasty chemical cocktail that slowly kills. I hate it with a passion. I have seen first hand the results of aspartame addiction. It really needs banning. There are 92 side effects associated with it.
