Re: Your Prepping for 2013
Im also new so have already started by joining here watching youtube vids and reading books and online.
I started in car adding blankets good warm ones and small tool kit. Will be adding first aid kit when I make one up.
I got 3 bags, 2 yesterday on sales and one last week. One is a hydration bag, one is small bag around 15/20l. Last one is a full rucksack. I carry the small one most places with my everyday uses but need to review it see what I am missing and need.
Food storage I want at least 3 months to start with extra water + water filter options for long run.
This will get me started this coming year, sure plenty other jobs need doing as I go

Re: Your Prepping for 2013
Just planned out my allotment for next year and ordered some seeds and seed potatoes. Had it for a year now - only dug half last year, doing the rest this year. Now the fencing is up, the shed is up, and I know what pests lurk in the soil, hopefully this year will see a reasonable harvest. *crosses her fingers* I have also put my name on a list for a local archery club when they start up again so I can learn a new skill. I aim to go on some bushcraft courses this year too. One other thing prepping wise, is to make sure I am in a good place. Get myself in order first , then you can get your preps and others sorted too! ie organise my home, decorate bits so I feel happier and more satisfied in it, get things in order so that I can be content in what I am doing, then I will be more mentally prepared for what ever the future chucks at us. (Having said that, I am reasonably settled, we coped with hubby's redundancy and the subsequent looking for and finding work this year ok enough but it does focus the mind even more!)

Well done! You were tested and you coped. It sounds like you ARE in the right frame of mind already.PreppingPingu wrote:...........
