How close is Exeter for you? Used to have access to Makro there through work, was pretty reasonable. Admittedly the petrol for the 40 minute round trip probably outweighed the savings I made.
60+mile round trip, dont think its worth the petrol or the journey time! probably 40mins each way for us(we dont exactly live right on top of the A30).

BDE, I'd think it would be well worth that really. I'm a fair bit away from Edinburgh Costco but I've more than saved the cost of membership over the years. Bearing in mind that you need a lot of money to go and do a big shop to make it worth the while in petrol.

Ok. We go but we've never got enough money to get what I want ! so we end up going every week for dribs and drabs and I'd rather get a humungous load at once.

i would love to get a huge great store in but, 1 i dont think the OH would go for it, and 2, we havent got the places to store it( we have a TINY modern 2 bed semi detached Housing Association house- we worked out the other day if we moved into a standard mobile home we would actually have more floor space than we have now!) :)

Well from a first hand experience but only just started amasing supplies, reducndancey. My OH has just been made redundant so I am glad for that 5kg bag of rice and the 3k bag of pasta in the cupboard. I know I have enough sugar and coffee for the next month and week or two's worth of tinned food now so that will ease things dramatically until the statutory redundancey cheque comes through! So that is my "Good reason to Prep"

Sorry to hear that. Two days ago my Wife was told it is a cut of ten hours a week - or no job at all. You could not make the situation up.

This country is going down the tube, like all the rest.
