You could say so Lil!I ran a team of terriers and lurchers.I worked 'freelance'you might say.I have done mole jobs, but to be honest moles are not an earner! My attitude is "minimum effort, maximum return"

Oh I like lurchers a lot . Lovely dogs. My youngest son used to do that kind of work, and also with hawks. He said you could make a bit of money in that line, if you were smart.

We set up about 30 'rabbit traps' which do not need any maintence or observation, and in that we caught a single rabbit, however as all the traps were in such close quarters and it was only over 30 hours tops, this wasn't to bad!

There`s some lads come to my croft to catch rabbits, they bring their guns, ferrets, nets and dogs, though the dogs are terriers. Nice lads, and they catch plenty. :)
There`s an extensive warren in the croft fields, we really are overrun with the buggers. I`m about to set snares over the weekend, weather permitting. (I eat the meat and tan the pelts in case anyone`s thinking I`m just naturally anti-bunny :D )
We also have foxes around here and since I have chickens, could do with someone to take them out (and give me the pelts please :D )
I also have an airgun for shooting them for the pot.
Used to be a rabbit catcher around this area (I think from Durness) who two or three times a year would come round and spend a few days `cleaning up` but he hasn`t been here for a few years now, so they`ve bred like....erm....rabbits.... :D

We have no rabbits around here. Two years ago they started to vanish and they are still missing. A neighbour said a virus (not mixxy) but nobody is sure. We have a lot of roe deer though.

My only concern with the TA, is that if TSHTF, there's a good chance you'd get called up to actually do some stuff. If you go, you're (Possibly) going to be far away from your preps (And if its the full blown TEOTWAWKI with a group who might possibly not have enough resources to support all of y'all long term.

On the other hand, If you don't go when called up and it turns out not to be TEOTWAWKI...can they jail ya for that? I'm not sure...?

Don't get me wrong, I fully support anybody who joins the army, regs or TA. Taught me a helluva lot of what I know today. But there may be other problems which it would bring into play.

On the note of Bunnies and foxes, I love foxes myself and would rather not hurt them. But if it came down to me or them....I'd pick me every time. Bunnies on the other hand...the only good bunny is a stewed bunny!
