Remember Tesco do the 5kg bags for 3.99, so a good deal if you're stocking up for preserving. I tend to buy them all year round so I'm stocked up for the berry season.

I did not know they did that size. That works out at just under 80p a KG. Rather good, thanks.

Ack! I just included a 5kg bag of sugar on my Sainsbo order - it works out at 85p per kilo, but otoh, cos I spent lots midweek, I got free delivery - so I don't have to trek back and forth to the supermarket, and I don't have to pay to have it delivered. Plus I improved my food preps at the same time.

Further adventures in the sugar price wars: 99p Stores has the 1kg Whitworths in for 69p each!

(Yes I now have a shelf full of sugar. There's worse things to have... :mrgreen: )
