you can make a loo out of a hay or straw bale, hollow out the middle and "use" that!

Indeed, if you have any within miles and somewhere to put it lol. Haven't got the space or resources for a composting loo either unfortunately, be lucky to dig a metre down in my garden before hitting solid chalk or flint, if I had the land and space though I'd certainly look into that or a reed bed setup.

Or you could all get together as a community, use the 4 filed crop rotation and defecate in the set aside field preparing the land for the next years crops and keep on doing that all year long . . . .

I dunno what would happen in a real EOTWAWKI but it sure is fun to speculate.
