Re: Alternative to antibiotics
i like to keep warm and drink pints and pints of hot water with a spoonful of honey. Plenty of rest and i try to keep upper torso elevated so as to reduce the trickle down effect. Clean air is very important and avoid cooking smells.
Re: Alternative to antibiotics
my own prefrence is to only take antibiotics when you 100 % need them if you have a cold or flu you better off trying to build an amunity to it not run straight to the doctors my own remedy is hot drinks (soups ,honey and lemon with crushed paricetumol in hot water) sleep and to sweat it out havent been to the doc"s in years not even for a tetnes when i stepped on a nail and it went stright throw my foot socked it in salted water the more you use antibiotics the less affective thay are when you really need them (a friend i have nown for years as allways eated brown bread when it starts to go moldy as a antibiotic and he as never been to a doctor hes in is 60" lives in a caravan and lives totaly off the gride )

Re: Alternative to antibiotics
hi i have heard somewhere that garlic is a natural antibiotic and that people with a cold or flue should eat a clove of raw garlic to ease the effects of a cold.
also my grandad would eat raw onion when he had a headaches or a cold and my gran woud leave half raw onion on the kitchen table for aslong as a cold was in the house.
i'm not to shoure about the effects of the onion on the table
but have heard many people sugesting garlic for cold.
