One or two ways to deal with this

1, get a dual voltage fridge 12vdc or 230vac, some are quite small and could be used on an off grid leisure battery when the mains fails.

2, get a three way fridge from a camping stores, 12vdc, 230vac or LPG, a big bottle of gas will last months of not a year or more.
