I am right handed and for info I hold a catapult in my left hand. I am definately right handed but my son writes using either hand. He holds a knife in his left hand when eating but, when shooting uses his right as the trigger hand. Perhaps you are both ambidextrous, or, just mixed up
With me it's worse because I'm right handed but left eyed! So unless I use a scope on a rifle then I'm struggling to get so low on the cheak piece to point with my left eye. I only just started archery and use a right handed bow (I hold the bow in my left hand and pull the string with my right), the same goes for catapults.
When eating it gets even worse - I cut food with the knife in my right hand and then have to take the fork in my right hand to eat it, I don't use my left hand almost at all
Do what's natural to you, if you don't feel comfortable then change it. And no, you're not weird, just unique

I have seen some bow hunters use two pieces of fur like material attached to the string near the top and bottom to reduce the noise produced when the string hit the back of the limb. you could look at doing something similar for your bow.
