I can fully agree with you about loss of power, my home is on a Scottish Island and we frequently get power cuts and not only in winter. I was only thinking this morning about my next door neighbour's who mainly have either oil/electric or electric only heating and they are elderly! I am presently working in North Africa so the weather back home is not on my radar. I will make some calls and see if they need anything, candles, torches such like.
