Hi, new to all this, have seen the TV programs and I just want to know is there any other people from Ireland on your forum or am I alone. Find this subject a reality and scary prospect, my only fear is I am alone on this one, hope not, thanks everyone.

Welcome Dermot! I can't believe you're the only one in Ireland, and I bet there's quite a few Irish people on here who live in England, who at least will be more familiar than English-living-in-England with the pressures you might face locally.

Are there any Transition Towns round about you? That movement often contains people who're surprisingly sympathetic to the ideas of prepping.

hi dermot i really do not think you are alone start talking to your friends about the programmes and see their reaction you might be suprised. yo might start a small group of preppers good luck. i did this now there are six of us that have started.
