Hello

Post by TonyAge »

Hello.

I'm based in Berkshire.

After reading various websites and books, it appears I have been an informal prepper for some time :)

However, I've decided to be more organised about it and I suspect I could do with being more networked.

Cheers

Good question.

Probably the bad weather a few years ago and having to trudge back from the supermarket, on foot, with a rucksack of supplies, made me realise I really ought to try and "stock up a bit".

More recently, while attempting to tidy up the garage, I unearthed a stash of very expired MREs, that I used to use when touring/camping.
Which made me realise that while having 15 tins of tomato soup lined up, is all well and good, it is not much use when there is no stock of water nor any easy way of providing some, when the electricty and gas go off for several days.

After reading about/researching the subject a bit, I decided I'd better get more organised.

Besides, every ex-boy scout likes the thought of running around the woods, with a knife and a tin of beans, and sleeping in trees, don't they? ;)
