Hi from Cumbria

Post by areal_121 »

Hi all,

Been prepping for a year now, just little things like water purification tablets, fire starters and other bits and bobs.

But haven't really thought about bug outs, how do you go about deciding where to go and makes a good spot? :?

Hi their welcome to UKP, having a bug out location that is suitable for what you want is really a decision you have to make, I found mine by selecting areas to go for walks in then having a good look round, eventually narrowing it down to one that's perfect for me, really just go out for walks (make sure it's off the beaten path)

First in, last out.

Do you really need to bug out in Cumbria or anywhere ?

If you Bug Out you are putting yourself at risk. I intend to take cover and concealment here and Bug out only if there is no alternative. I.e local area is contaminated, at risk from Human Parasites or no longer viable.

I am very concious of the fact we have a nuclear plant just up the coast from us and a the ship yard (building the new nuclear subs) down from us.

So thinking getting out of the way to be the best option
