Hello I am Dean and I am a 18 year old male who lives in Plymouth. I got in to bushcraft/survival from a very young age when my dad took me on to Dartmoor and I learn't a lot from him as he was in the Royal Marines, I learnt thinks like shooting, trapping, fishing, basic and advanced survival and first aid and other stuff. At the age of 14,15 and 17 I did Ten Tors and completed the 35,45 and 55 miles. I really got in to prepper and survival after the passing of my dad, two years ago and I felt really close to him when I was outdoors; so I spend may days on Dartmoor on my own and did lots of courses to learn new things. From a very young age my dad say "Its better to be preppered and ready for anything then wait on others". I only understood this after his death and started to get my equipment together. I am regularly go out to the local wood and on the local moor to hone my skills and to get new ones.
I am not a massive prepper as I have only just started, so I don't have a greenhouse or months worth of food. I have a small room in my mums houses (Im 18 don't forget) where all my kits goes. As i live in a high populated area I plan to bug out then stay in and I have a car with full fuel and I have 20L of more fuel and I have about a month worth of food and other equipment I plan to live off the land, by ...............................................if the whole UK goes into a melt down as I live right behind a supermarket. The area I plan to go is in the middle of no where and is only accessible by foot, It is woodland with a farm about 7 miles away; it also has a river flowing though it. I have a large boulder which if sat on top can let you see for about a mile. I plan to build my shelter from this plus give me a security advantage because I can fight or pack up my thinks and live, as it will give me about 30 miles to get away.
