Greetings all.
Well - I'm probably the worlds worst prepper, because I haven't really done much yet, and probably the worst forum member because this is my third post, not my first (I really should have read the house rules more carefully). But I do find the subject interesting, and where I live we get a lot of power cuts, so I guess that's why I'm here.
Location: Hartlebury UK (pretty rural). Work: Freelance IT, mostly defence oriented. Hobbies: Target shooting (got 3 rifles & 2 air rifles), badminton (currently play twice a week!), walking. Married, 3 kids, great big dog.
Steve.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Re: Worlds Worst Prepper?
Welcome aboard, I have to say iif you're rural you allready have an advantage, and probably do allready prep more than you think, for instance does your world fall to bits it the weather gets bad? power goes off? chances are you aren't helpless and not as bad as you think, prepping is more about not being caught totally pants down by regular occuring inconvenient breakdowns, storms, job loss, than a cosmic callamity or zombie attack
Most SHTF scenarios spoken of I think are used as a long shot worst example of what in an ideal world anyone would want to be able to cope with, so take your time unless soemone knows for sure, it could be your decendents who benefit from your prepping.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Welcome to the forums! Since you get a lot of powercuts, all the stuff around heating, lighting and emergency cooking could well be relevant to you (and if you're rural in an area that gets snow, a bit of extra food wouldn't come amiss either, I'm guessing).
Between the job, the hobbies, the dog and the location tho, sounds like you're streets ahead

hello and welcome ,,
i`m guessing with you being pretty rural , you do the shopping in large lumps rather than every week . so you could possably have more stored than you think .
i do the usual asda run on a friday for fresh bits like fruit and milk , but only do a massive shop when i need to , the last one was around early december and i don`t think i need to do it again for another month or so .
