What are people's thoughts on these?
D2 steel and 6 / 7 mm thick - seem like solid tools.

I've not heard of this company before, but after looking at the website and their products, they seem to be a reputable company that produces quality tools. I don't think you could go far wrong with these.

I wouldn't bother personally, there are a lot more useful knives around that I would be happier with.
Looks more like a posers knife than a good using knife.
Frosts Mora knives are a good allround inexpensive outdoor knife

Several models available as well
Or maybe a Ray Mears Woodlore knife, or a clone of one at least.

it looks to poser look at what I have got (bear gryls range comes to mind) go for something like a frost, there are many different knives that could be bought and used closer to home a that do the exact same job.

Re: www.hardcorehardware.com - Knives
Someone once asked me what was the very best knife in a survival situation, my reply was the one you have with you at the time.
There is an article somewhere on the web written, I think, by old jimbo who split a treee in half using a Swiss army knife or something similar. I'll go see if I can find it again.
Or find a good cutler and get one made, often cheaper than buying one off the shelf.
