Pondered a lot about this, and lots of sensible advice been given about what you have in the house...................


But, at the moment when you have to do something ,you need to be absolutely 100% focused on stopping that person potentially doing harm to your family, trying to think how much force to use in that situation could mean you fail..........unless you are supremely confident in your abilities............


I actually think the government has got it right on this one, not expecting you to weigh up the pros and cons in the heat of the moment.........

Me too, the whole topic is hypothetical of course even if some of us believe it isn't, because you can't tell how you would react, in any dangerous and stressful situation unless you deal with it all the time, we don't we worry, discuss, and try to load the dice slightly so as we may stand a chance, it's hardly premeditation.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
