Water in the South East

Post by korolev »

I have a relative who is in the water business, 40 years of technical stuff and has a lot of contacts in the industry.
He told me that there is concern over the supply of water in the South East (specifically the Southern Water area) due the the amount of house building with no corresponding increase in water storage/treatment.
No-one really knows about it outside the water industry but it's possible that there could be permanent hosepipe bans throughout the summer months, even if we get plenty of rain.
Anyways, I now have about 1500 litres of water storage and I'm thinking of adding more (considering one or two of those 1000 litre bulk containers buried.
