Lids

Post by grenfell »

Like so many on here I have several water butts draining offf several roofs and they of vcourse get used to water the garden and greenhouses. All the butts have lids , some are plastic dustbin type lids and some are simple plywood but each has a lid. Got home the other day and my wife said she had been watering but that there was something "furry" in the one. I looked and there was indeed something furrry floating in the butt. Seems we had took the lid off at some point and forgot to put it back and a squirrel had fallen in and drowned . So perhaps a lesson to remember to replace lids.
