There wwas a news report earlier this week, after the Scottish decision on facemasks in schools but before the latest "do what you want" blather from Downing Street. The report showed a head teacher working in England who actuallly said something like "if the government's going to change its mind again, we'd like it to do it now, so we have some time to prepare". It was jawdropping - and your post that I've quoted above basically sums up everybody now except the most diehard of the government apologists.

Can I ask where you got your paper bags from please?
We get ours off Ebay. Just over £10 for 50x with delivery, which is usually within 3-4 days. We get the 32cm x 18cm ones which does allow a lot (bit too much) of fold-over but will then accommodate 2kg of flour if needed. The 24cm size was certainly adequate for bagging 1kg though.

And they fit inside these vacuum bags really well.
