Planning permission isn't enforcible after 4 years if the building is in plain sight. That's why the feller that built behind hay bales was pursued; he had sought to deceive.
Whether planting trees/bushes would be considered disguising would be down to a court to decide (my gut feeling is that if a building in a wood was obscured by trees, well thats what woods do).

I'll point you in the direction of Maximus Ironthumper on youtube, hes done the whole tiny house retrospective planning thing ..... Hes also as mad as a box of frogs and a hell of a bush mechanic (see "Project Awesome" ), hes done a lot of homesteading vids as well
