knife sharpener

Post by butterbean »

im sure ive read on here before that some people are aware of funkyprepper and armouredcockroach on youtube. i too watch all their stuff and a lot of .

i recently watched 1 of roach's videos on a knife sharpener.
now i love a sharp knife and have quite a few stones and steels to keep all my blades as sharp as possible, so naturally i loved the thing he was reviewing. so i bought the 1 he reviewed and have had a play with it myself.

i must say im extremely impressed. through much practice im pretty decent with a stone at sharpening a knife, but this thing takes the hard part of keeping the angle correct out of the equation.

so if you are interested in sharpening your knives i would say at least consider this.

ive sharpened my general knives in the garage and the spare set of kitchen knives and they are all perfect.

(a little tip for extra sharp edges: after sharpening with the stone, dont bother buying a leather strop, drag the blade along the inside of your leather belt) (take the belt off first ;) )

roach's video review and how to use it is:

this is my first time posting links so hoping it works
