Yay! I love their work, I really do. I also like the way that Ruth's daughter joins them in the later ones.

Peter Ginn ---- OOOO! and COR! and WHOARRR!
Ooops I mean, erm yes good history yes.
My vital preps this week consist of buying a Kindle book on amazon about an English couple moving to the good life in France. Sod reality, I've had enough of it this winter

Just for Lil
As well as the Tudor/Victorian/Edwardian Farm etc theres also Slow Tech (Here), which I've only just found and haven't read yet (but might be a suitable prezzie for my brother's kids).

Yes, not too still, thanks-ever-so I'd heard of your abiding passion for our Mr Ginn, so I was inspecting him quite closely this time I must say, I think you have the right idea, Lildiamond lil wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:30 pm BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!!

Well it looks like winter is just beginning to break (famous last words ) I'm glad to be honest I've struggled to get the wood for my fire because of covirus and the business slowdown i would easily get what I need normally but this year more difficult .
Hopethings improve for next years wood foraging.

Today we planted a selection of seeds to propagate inside and will be chitting potato's this week
when it comes to catastrophic events, we never know when the day before is the day before. So we prepare for tomorrow

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.
I'm currently picking out a few seed choices for my own first grown-up forays into growing edibles, Herself plants tomatoes and beans each year but I thought I'd try beetroot, carrots and pickling onions as these are things we already eat.
Growing space at present is too limited for potatoes or massive crops of anything , so its going to be more of a training exercise then anything.
Going to be using containers ( wooden troughs made from pallet boards) so I'm looking at short varieties of carrot and small versions of the other stuff..... Any suggestions? (no F1s please, as I'll be experimenting with seed saving where possible)

We also made some apple crisps in the oven which went down well with the brood
