Filled and laid is about right mate! I see it’s rough up your way too.Just come back from hospital with Mrs J, and there’s low grade flooding where I’ve never seen it before. Getting to work tomorrow will be interesting as every road seems to be underwater.

Hope you get off light Andy.

So far so good it's stopped raining here (for now) and it's drying up again but there's 2 more days of warnings and whatever water is to come down for the hills yet

Used some of my emergency cash to get car fixed.

Clutches are expensive. Labour moreso

I've just re-booked my front brakes and discs to be replaced after I had to cancel the last appointment due to self-isolation. Ugh. <watches money vanish from account>

Tiny prep this evening - finally tried making roast potatoes with tinned spuds. I found the tin in my last tin cupboard tidy-up and decided they had to get used. They make excellent roasties! :D <off to add more tinned potatoes to Monday's click and collect>

Yes. I've tried to fry them but was too messy, I'll try oven next.

They also make a good Bombay potato and I used to stock them just for that before the food intolerances struck.

We slice them, and fry on a ‘slow sizzle’ in olive oil with salt and black pepper, and bang a lid or plate over the pan to stop the mess :D .They go great with a cheesy omelette and baked beans, bread and butter and a pot of strong tea.
