Just go steady with the grinder aluminium can be a bit snatchy

Thanks for the advice Andy.Of all the cutting tools I use,I find grinders to be a bit scary. So respect is the operative word!

I find that a good thick leather apron is the best option when using 'Mangle-grinders', it can slow or stop the disk (or fragments of it ) if it gets away from you..... It also helps to prevent trouser fires

Top tip, that! I have an old slaughterman’s apron that would do the jobs. Thanks.

Well. I'm very busy testing the recliner and using up the Cointreau in case it goes off.
I am SUCH a good prepper.

They're not 'proper' work clothes until you've burnt a hole in them with a mangle-grinder or a flame axe, or got them twisted&shredded by a chuck....... And you really shouldn't have all four knees and elbows intact, it looks like you aren't trying

I think Lil is on the right track though, British Prepping at its best ;)

I made an apprentice mistake today. Cut a shin of beef from a hindquarter, and instead of standing to one side, pulled the knife through and stuck the bugger into my stomach! What a prat!

Fortunately, it was a superficial cut( by butchery standard) and only took three stitches!

Last time I stabbed myself I had the police appear at the minor injuries unit... They didn't seem convinced it was self inflicted......
