Re: Self Care

Sorry to hear that mbbaltic. Yes Self care is vitally important - from a mental health as well as physical health point of view. My asthma is definitely stress induced. I always think I cope well with all the crap that has been thrown my way over the last few years but then when you realise that you...

Re: Public access major bleed kits

As part of my outdoor first aid for my forest school training we did catastrophic bleeds and were shown how to use an Israeli bandage and talked through tourniquets . As you can use knives and axes etc in forest school, I have bought an Israeli dressing for my first aid kit now. I have been shown, a...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.

Got made redundant last week, the preschool was about to go into liquidation and suddenly got a loan at the 11th hour from from a company who is interested in taking it on, to keep it afloat. Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.

Returning to the prepping board :D to catch up on massive amounts of threads! Over the last few months' absence, I've finished clearing out the garage stash and restocking it, going through the pull out container under the spare bed and using and replacing that too. At the moment I am making a list ...

Re: prep fail

I'm not a fan of adulterating one of the nicest fuels to work with by adding chemicals to make it do something that its very keen to do naturally. Charcoal briquettes are a totally different beast. They're hygroscopic (or at least seem to be) so they can go mouldy and/or disintegrate into a porridg...

Opened up a bag last weekend to do a birthday BBQ for hubby's 50th, even though the weather was pants, and found that in spite of being s...
