Re: Baked beans...
As an American I can not understand the British obsession with beans, be they pork included or baked. Such an extensive comparison is disturbing. Why would anyone care? I walk down the canned goods isle at the local store and they have wonderful choices in the same size and type can as "beans&q...

Re: My GHB
Seems a reasonable list and you seem to be one of them that know how to use what is there. Even if you have a road map in the vehicle add an extra to the kit. My only other suggestion would be to add a good quality legal utility knife or a good multi-tool to the cutting gear if you do not carry one ...

Re: How do you prep for this?
I have to agree more or less with Unsure. Follow your doctor's recommendations. They are generally as eager as you are for a speedy recovery and have people out the door and up and going as fast as possible compared to just a few years ago. If you over-do it in trying to "speed up your recovery...

Re: Alternative vehicle
Ok, beginning to see sense, looks like it maybe a second hand Grand Cherokee, would prefer a manual gearbox tho. I have a 1997 Cherokee w/200k+ on the clock and not a hint of a problem with the automatic gearbox or engine. I have had the manual gear box on a Cherokee and find the automatic better f...

Re: Nail guns. For short range pest control.
I have nail guns, air guns and real firearms for comparison. If you are really addressing pests and do not wish to deal with a SGC go with the air gun. It will be better than a nail gun even with the 12# limitation you folks live with. If you are using the "pest control" term as a veiled r...

Re: Bugging in dangers?
Biggest danger? Probably complacency. The fact that we have "stuff" means we're in more danger, especially if someone else knows about it. If we had to bug in the first rule has to be keep your head down and don't make it look like you're coping better than anyone else. What happens when ...

Re: Bugging in dangers?
I fear that we all tend to look at our own situation and have a discourse based on what we see when we look out the door, then expand that and apply it to everyone. Some situations present "bugging in" as an impossibility. Other people look out the door at the snow and rain or at their six...
