Re: Retail outlets in a SHTF situation opinions..

Are there 49 other people in Nottingham prepared to join me if the srdhtf (sxxx really did hit the fan)?
If sites like this keep growing then eventually perhaps, till then it's a scenario you can play with, Nottingham is pretty big initially at any rate SHTF I'd recomend a low profile.

Re: Hello from Plymouth

Re: pasta

It is all a question of balance, pasta would be little use without enough water to go with it as well as what you are going to have it with, bugging in, we are relying a lot on tinned foods as well as long life rice packs which only need heating, if the mains water fails we have to keep consumption ...

Re: Bug in or bug out

Of course circumstances tend to influence plans, when you're a family of 5, mother and daughter both have CFS bugging out is not a serious option, if it became one it would most likeley allready be to late.

Re: Cheese powder / tomato powder / peanut butter powder

I'd never heard of peanut butter powder either :o and would also stick with the jars as maximising the calories to hand would be more the name of the game for us.

Re: Its made it into mainstream media..

I've nothing against America or Americans, so when I say there's more of them so it should come as no suprise that the ones who appear a little nutty to sy the least are probably easier to come by, we're more reserved, and of course we don't have the history of gun ownership on a mass scale, nor bui...

Re: Accident!

Hope you get better soon Maddie, and you're right of course for most of us, alone would not be good and would require more luck and experience to last a fair time than most are blessed with.
