Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Feisty, how old is your daughter? Sounds like you might need a follow up talk with her - good luck with it. I've got a delivery scheduled myself today, only from Sainsbo tho  conserves my energy in them packing it and delivering it, thats got to be good. Grass is still much too soggy to walk on...

Re: nowhere to bug out to be honest - Leeds
Thats a really good point, "party" towns on the south coast, say, could become a lot smaller a lot more quickly in a prolonged economic downturn.lonewolf wrote: we have a very local but transient population here-so a low population could become an even lower but more manageable population ...

Re: nowhere to bug out to be honest - Leeds
Hello J23 - welcome - and yes, everyone's had similar doubts, but really, in this crowded little country of ours, bugging in is the only way, unless you're forced out - by a house fire, by floods, whatever. Most people on here will recommend OP SEC - keep your preps (stores of food etc) quiet, espec...

I store in the original packaging - its already foil protected, which is better than a screw top or a plastic container, to my mind.

A sister bag? I like it! But I'm curious too ... where does the name come from, FC?

Re: The Anti-prepper prepper
I don't have a ready packed rucksack sitting by the front door is that I really don't believe that such a sudden event is that likely. I agree with you, jansman and plymtom on everything except this - mine isn't by the front door, its 2 steps from my bed, and always packed - house fires! Thats a su...

Re: minor surgery
Glad it was comparatively minor, unsure - I think you're right to get it done under the minimal anaesthetic possible - I've had two minor ops in the last few years, one under general, one under local. Both were fine, but with the general, they gave me a *really* good painkiller before I woke up, so ...

Re: a mix of everything
Butterbean, you're doing great! Well done - its always good to keep a focus, and your focus is a very realistic one, to get home, when you're often at some distance. The things I'd say to do now, in addition, are: - get some water at home - even a couple of 5 litre bottles, they're £1.10 or so in th...
