Re: Burying your head in the sand???

Personally, I NEVER broach the topic with anyone. In the past I have tried, now I do not bother. Why? Firstly your 'target' will think you are a nutter. Full stop. Secondly, they ALWAYS say that if there is a problem , " we will come to your house". In my neighbourhood I am the 'Practical ...

Re: The shops are shut!

Absolutely!

Funnily enough I have just got back from town. It was heaving with nowhere to park and drivers getting angry. Aldi car park was rammed so I aborted the errands. And that is without a panic happening.

Apparently they are opening slowly in the are...

Re: Prepping on a tight budget

I am going prep shopping today. We have been hitting our stocks hard here at Chez Jansman, mainly because I have been too lazy to sort it. We need all sorts. So... Hello and welcome. If you could perhaps give us an idea why you have joined us, that would be good. Many here have different reasons for being prepared, what are yours?

Re: Rapeseed or wild cabbage

I use Coopers beer kits. The bitter is spot on. As mentioned, you have to give it time.

Re: Is a bad winter on it's way ?

It's timely that you mention this...walking the dog today I noticed the leaves on a few trees changing colour already. Also a heck of a lot of sloes and elderberries. The old boys always reckoned on a lot of berries preceding a bad Winter. Plus we are overdue one. I certainly hope not.
